Yoga therapy

With yoga therapy the first step is to achieve a triple cleaning of the accumulated poisons in the body by practicing breathing, postures and relaxation. This means that our Hatha-Yoga is first and primary yoga therapy for health and relaxation which will become an experience and a sensation manifesting yoga in the form of transformation. This does not exclude a certain heightening of our consciousness or awareness, which is what many people expect from Yoga. Our path, too, leads to this goal but it is reached at the end and not at the beginning of the journey. An yoga therapy educational system resembles a skyscraper: one enters at the ground floor and climbs up by one’s own effort-not by shooting up in a lift.

Once we accept the disciplines of breathing, postures and relaxation we should stop misusing our body and mind. Usually we rush from one task to the next without pause; we drive ourselves by our ultra-competitive attitude and when our strength fails we resort to drugs. All for the sake of keeping up with time.

In comparison with this way of life one can say that the Indian recharges his spiritual batteries in the intervals between his activities. He is capable of contemplative concentration which is difficult for the people who thinks that one can achieve everything by using the will for action.
